About me

I’m Awanish Raj. Co-founder and CTO of AssetPlus.

I was born in Patna. Moved around the country — Mandapam (TN), Cochin (KL), Calcutta (WB), Campbell Bay (A&N Islands) — before settling in Chennai in 2002. Dad worked in the Indian Coast Guard and had frequent transfers, but they decided to stay in Chennai for my education.

I studied at Modern Senior Secondary School in Chennai. Cracked JEE and studied Electrical Engineering at IIT Madras. Started AssetPlus right out of college.

Today, AssetPlus, headquartered in Chennai, is one of India’s leading assisted wealth management platforms.

I’m happily married to the most beautiful girl in the world.
